aBOUT ME

In 2011 I completed a 2 year full time Diploma of Architectural Technology/Drafting in Granville TAFE. From then on I entered the work force full time and began working as a Facade Draftsman in 2012 as an apprentice with a world renown curtain wall company called Permasteelisa based in Chipping Norton. I worked there for approximately 5 years.

I then worked for a facade consultant company based in the Sydney CBD called Surface Design. I decided after 10 months that working for a contracting firm was more attractive than consulting. Reason being, consultant drafting involves working on numerous projects at the same time and never being involved in the production and consequently the end product.

I then returned to Permasteelisa as a Facade Contractor and not an employee. I found the flexibility in this avenue of work. After my contract ended one year later, I then joined another reputable building and materials company called CSR Inclose based in North Ryde. I had been working there as a fixed-term contractor.

I have been involved in producing the following over the past 8 years:

  • 2D Shop Drawings - For Approval and For Construction (AutoCAD)

    • Plans, Elevations, Sections, and Details

  • 2D and 3D Fabrication Drawings - (Inventor)

  • Producing Step Files for CNC Machining

  • Formal External Aconex Submissions

  • Site Coordination TAG Drawings

  • Take-Off Lists

  • Quantity and Cutting Lists

  • BIM (Inventor to IFC)

The Facade types I have been involved with include:

  • Curtain Walls

  • Window Walls

  • Aluminium Windows and Doors

Materials typically included glass, cladding, and terracotta tiles.

I am skilled in using AutoCAD and Inventor as my main sources of software. Other software includes Navisworks Manage and Microsoft Office. Revit would only be used for viewing and conversion purposes.

I would be happy to offer my services to your firm and assist you with any of the above related areas of skill.

Feel free to email me to discuss further. :)
